Our Story
Kraftsman’s is a small, family run business. Jakes began his craft trading back in the early 1990’s when our country was still struggling with apartheid and inequality, and he found that his lack of career progress in the shipping industry forced him to find an alternate source of income.
Over the years, he has designed, built and installed carpentry projects across the Southern African Region including have delivered carpentry projects for small businesses and families in Botswana.
During his time, he has trained several craftsmen to design and build for projects not only relating to carpentry, but includes the many dimension of general renovations, such tiling, plastering, foundational and brick work, plumbing, electricals, and now in recent years the company embeds a focus on technology and security for homes and businesses.
A.V joined Jakes in this craftsman trade during 2018, and has been the operational manager for several projects since then. With expertise in technology and security, as well as coming from a long line of carpenters himself, the inception of Kraftsman came to life.

We have worked with families to expand and enhance their personal residences; we have worked with small business owners to build shop fittings and we have also worked with property owners to flip their investments by driving the entire renovation process.
